Piers and Pilings Systems
Piers or pilings, terms that are interchangeable in our industry, can be made of different materials and inserted under your property in a variety of ways.
First, let’s get one thing straight- there is no one-size-fits all solution for foundation repair. When deciding what is the best repair plan for your property we’ll look at six main factors:
- What soil is under the property?
- Are there any bodies of water nearby affecting it?
- How is the current landscaping affecting the foundation?
- Is there a drainage system in place?
- What’s the plan for the property?
- What’s the budget for the repair?
The last two are more important than most people realize. We will always provide you with a plan of repair that fits your needs and budget. For example: If you’re planning on selling your commercial property, you may be able to do a less costly repair, and the future property owner can rest easy knowing we have a transferable lifetime warranty.
Now that we’ve covered what factors influence our plan of repair, let’s talk about the different types of piers and when they would be used. They include:
- Concrete pressed piers
- Cable anchored steel piers
- Helical steel piers

Frequently Asked Questions
For how long do I have to displace my tenants for foundation repair?
Foundation repair is less intrusive than it seems. In most cases, foundation can be repaired through tunnels dug around the perimeter of the property. Our team will come out, tunnel outside of your property, go under it to fix the foundation, then close the tunnel back up.
You won't even remember we were there.
How is commercial foundation repair with piers done?
We know that time and efficiency are important in commercial foundation repair. Our foundation repair methods are minimally invasive, regardless of the type of pier used. If we need to get under your property, we excavate 3’ x 3’ squares outside the perimeter of the structure to make sure your tenants and business go undisturbed.
